Thriftshare!

Loving
that the thrift stores are
extra full
of Christmas items right now!

 found these great Glitterfied ornaments
at Goodwill
the violins were 2 for .75 cents
and I think I got 6
The church was .75 cents as well
The pink tinsel garland is sort of shiny with a matte finish on it
it is so lovely and never used!
$1.25
This kitschy tree star is for
Little Keepers tinsel tree...
$1.25 was still in the box!
The mice I know are from the 70's/80's
we had lots of these flocked type ornaments when I was a kid.
.55 cents for the unopened package of four.

Found a bag FULL of these bridal shower decorations
for .13 cents!
That's right!
Our Boys and Girls club was giving 1/2 off items
with green tags and this bag was .25 cents originally!

This was a cottage cheese container!
It was empty and clean.
I'm guessing whoever purchased it years ago loved the
little Easter chickies and just had to keep it!
I was so surprised because I never find stuff like this!
Same price of .13 cents!

Have you had any luck with Christmas items
lately?

A little late...

So I'm a little late on my
Thriftshare
this week...
I purchased her a while back,
and you really can't call what I paid for this
Thrifty..
I won her on E-Bay...
I just had to have her...
Lets just say someone and I got into a bidding war down to the last second...
I think she can sit on top of a powder box?
The skirt reminded me of some beautiful
silky powder puffs that belonged to my grandmother.
I'll have to dig them out of their safe hiding place to share with you.
This gal was in such good condition, but had that bit of vintage flair.
Took the photo w/ Instagram sorry about the lighting.
Check out some of the other great finds at
and
 Happy Thursday all!

Treasure on the Cheap!

I've been limited in
my thrifting lately
but have managed to come up with a few great finds
in the last couple of weeks....
For some reason the thrift stores actually seem a bit bare
Usually this time of year is gangbusters.
Hmmm.
I managed to find all three of these at a CHKD
about a 1/2 hour away one day after a half day at one of my
clients offices....
I call that a good work day with a little bonus!
This pink Fire King vase was only $1.98
I'm used to seeing the hobnail pattern only in milk glass,
so pink was too different to pass up...
We have it on the dining room table with lollipops and flowers for
Valentine's day...

This vintage 1968 Wizard of Oz story book was only .98 cents!
My mother has always had a soft spot for the Wizard of Oz Movie
so I couldn't help but open it....
It has a lot of great color and some black and white illustrations...
I loved their vintage quality
so I figure I will use the pictures in some projects...
Love the lady in green...
Then on a bottom shelf I spied this sewing box...
We had one like this when I was a kid but it was plain and that 70's green...
I loved that this one looked like a basket!
$2.98!
I have already filled it with odds and ends...
Some sewing items , some not,
there are three compartments...
It is great to have a place to put all the spools I have collected so I know they are in one place..
In the bottom is the contents from a bag of odds and ends I purchased for $1.98
Lots of trim, ric-rac, lace,
but the best part was...
After I got home and could fully open the bag
there was an envelope inside with these...
Nice little bunch of fabric animals and children...
You could sew them onto clothing or a blanket...
I'm not sure of their age but they
are ADORABLE!

Now I have to decide what to use them on!
Head on over to
to see what everybody else found.
Happy Monday to all!
